Business Casual: The Stories We Tell, In and Outside of the Boardroom
S1. E4. Olympic Dreams and Authentic Living: Unedited and Unstoppable Stories with Natalie Wideman

My guest today is Natalie Wideman. She is an Olympian and bronze medalist, and a coach, speaker, and entrepreneur. Natalie and her team brought a bronze medal home from the Tokyo Olympics in 2021. They have won many other medals, including a bronze medal from the Women's World Cup in 2024 and a gold medal from the PanAm Games in 2015. They are working towards LA 2028.
Natalie recently founded a company called Unedited Self Co. Her belief and commitment to being her authentic self go without saying.
Some key takeaways from our chat include:
-
Authenticity is key to personal and professional growth, and is a beautiful and effective way to inspire others.
-
Fear is always going to be with us. We can choose to make it a barrier or a catalyst for growth.
-
Celebrating our own achievements, big and small, is so important for self-acceptance and confidence.
"LA 2028. I'm gonna say it until I believe it." This was one of many goosebumps moments during our chat. I absolutely loved it. I'm gonna say it too—for Natalie, for the Canadian women's softball team, and for Team Canada. LA 2028.
Please enjoy my conversation with the one and only Natalie Wideman.
